Holocaust Torah Rededication Shabbat
Saturday, December 10, 2022 • 16 Kislev 5783
9:00 AM - 1:30 PMService in-person & online; luncheon in-person only, with RSVPThis year marks 25 years since our Holocaust (Zachor)Torah was brought to Beth Emeth, on permanent loan from what is now the Memorial Scrolls Trust of London, England. This scroll, MST#11, is originally from an unknown town in Bohemia or Moravia. It was one of 1564 Torahs confiscated during the Holocaust and put into the Jewish Museum in Prague under the Nazis. More information about the journey of our Torah and how it came to Beth Emeth is on our webpage about the Holocaust Torah.
On Saturday, December 10 we will hold a special Shabbat service and luncheon to rededicate our stewardship of this Torah and the way it connects us to the memory of the Holocaust.
RSVPs for the luncheon are appreciated ASAP so we can have enough for all; just email to Robyn.
