Tammy Gottlieb, a leading Israeli activist, will share stories from her time fighting for democracy and equality in Israel, and the important role American Jews have to play in promoting democracy and pluralism in the Jewish state. Tammy is Vice Chairwoman of Women of the Wall and a member of the World Zionist Organization (WZO) Executive Board representing MERCAZ, the Israel arm of the Conservative/Masorti movement. We’ll start with Mincha service at 4:30, followed by discussion with Tammy and seudah shlishit (light meal), and then a brief Ma’ariv/Havdalah service to say goodbye to Shabbat.
