Mitzvah Opportunities for Everyone
April 2, 2017
All over the world, hundreds of thousands choose to volunteer and help others on Good Deeds Day, putting into practice the simple idea that every single person can do something good, be it large or small, to improve the lives of others and positively change the world.
On April 2, we’ll have activities for all ages and abilities:
At CBE in the Afternoon:
- Make blankets for children staying at the shelter
- Make greeting cards for new US citizens and hospitalized military veterans
- Donate items and funds for SPARC (Specially Adapted Resource Clubs)
Other Locations, Various Times 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM:
- Interior painting, planting and mulching at local Jewish and other group homes

The Talmud states: Providing charity for poor and hungry people weighs as heavily as all the other commandments of the Torah combined.
