CBE Mission Statement
(The Mission Statement defines the synagogue’s reason for being, what it does today, and who it serves.)
Congregation Beth Emeth is a welcoming, inclusive, and egalitarian Conservative Jewish community. Balancing tradition with innovation in support of our diverse congregation, and in support of Israel, we strengthen Jewish identity on both an individual and communal level. We encourage participation and lay leadership in a full range of religious, worship, educational, and social activities. In doing these things we foster Jewish values and observance for the current and next generation.
CBE Vision Statement
(The Vision Statement describes the desired future state; what the synagogue wants to ultimately become.)
Congregation Beth Emeth aspires to be a vibrant, inspirational, and beloved synagogue meeting the religious, worship, educational, and social needs of all generations, while actively engaging in partnerships with the broader community.
Why Mission and Vision?
Mission and vision statements serve at least two purposes. One is to help provide guidance for key synagogue goals or actions. If a proposed action doesn’t support the mission or vision it may not be a necessary. Second, the statements help to communicate to current and prospective members who we are and what we represent.
