Security & Safety at Beth Emeth

Since the tragedy in Pittsburgh, our team has been working hard to ensure that our building and our community are as safe and secure as possible.

Just a few of the actions we have taken:
  • A thorough security assessment was completed, and a hard copy of the full report is available for review in the main office.
  • Because the items recommended are not in our budget, we held a very successful Security Fundraiser, and thank everyone for your generosity. We also secured a grant so that more of the large-ticket items can be implemented in the first phase.
  • We have begun implementing recommendations in the report, including quite a few facility improvements, large and small, as well as expanded off-duty police security.
  • We held three different Security Training classes for the congregation, faculty and staff with experts in the field, totalling four sessions -- all of which were very well attended.

While many details will not be shared publicly on the web, this page is meant to provide general updates and resources as they become available. Please contact the office if you have any questions.
