Congregation Beth Emeth, a Conservative synagogue in Herndon VA, has openings for fall 2017, both for Religious School and the Beth Emeth Early Childhood Center (BEECC). We hope you'll consider joining our dynamic faculties!

Early Childhood Center

Our school is growing!  We are seeking an early childhood educator who is interested in working with young children for a part-time assistant teacher position with a Reggio-Inspired synagogue preschool in Herndon, VA. Our preschool program serves children ages two through five in a vibrant learning environment focused first and foremost on supporting social-emotional development through play-based learning and emergent curriculum.  

Successful candidates will have a general understanding of child development, an openness to professional growth, a commitment to working collaboratively as part of a teaching team, a passion for working with young children and enthusiasm for the educational process of inquiry, observation, and reflection.

Position hours include four mornings a week (T-F, 9:00-1:30) for the 2017-2018 school year starting immediately. Applicants from all religious backgrounds are welcome but must be willing to learn about Jewish values, traditions, and rituals.

Religious School

Line up a job for this fall NOW to teach religious school!

Congregation Beth Emeth is looking for some enthusiastic and innovative teachers for the 2017-2018 school year. We have Sunday morning (9:00AM-12:00PM) and Wednesday/Thursday (4:30PM-6:30PM) positions available, in a range of grades. A love of kids and a responsible nature are a must; teaching experience and facility with Hebrew are great, but not necessary for all positions.
