Sisterhood is excited to bring back our Sunday morning Knitzvah-thon event!
Nosh and knit for a good cause with Sisterhood
Sunday, January 14th at 9:45 AM (after minyan)
Join CBE Sisterhood this month as we nosh together and knit/crochet chemo caps for children with cancer. Thank you to Sisterhood Social Chair Robin R for reinvigorating CBE Sisterhoods Sunday morning Knitzvah with an added twist (breakfast and lessons). Nosh is FREE this month. Everyone welcome.
Don’t know how to knit or crochet? No worries!
A short group tutorial and one-on-one assistance will be provided during the Knitzvah event for a fee of $10. Fee includes your own set of needles, yarn, patterns, breakfast and lessons by Linda Rosenthal. Experienced crafters are encouraged to attend. Bring your own needles and extra yarn. We will provide additional yarn upon availability.
Knitzvah-thon continues Sunday mornings at 9:45 am - Jan 21, 28 and Feb 4, 11; monetary breakfast donations and volunteers welcome.
Can’t make it to breakfast, but love to knit/crochet?
Handmade items (hats, scarves or baby blankets) gladly accepted and will be donated to Hooked for Life. Place items in a clear unused ziplock bag and drop off in the lobby hat box. Please DO NOT WASH these items.
RSVP appreciated to [email protected] by Wednesday each week, so we can be sure we have enough breakfast for all.
Sisterhood Book Club
Come join with fellow Sisterhood members (other CBEers welcome, too!) for great discussion and refreshments at members' homes, as we discuss a variety of books, some with Jewish content, some not.
On the Sisterhood Book Club page you'll find a list of book selections for all of 2017 and early 2018 so you can read ahead!
Please contact Robin Schulman to receive monthly emails with dates and meeting locations, or with questions.
Bring your extra hotel soaps, shampoos, conditioners, skin care and beauty products to CBE and drop in the basket in the lobby (by the Gift Shop).
Sisterhood will be assembling bags to deliver to the Women's Shelter.
