The mission of CBE Sisterhood is to unite the diverse woman of our congregation through social, educational, cultural, social action, and Jewish ritual programming in order to strengthen our role as women, promote Conservative (Masorti) Judaism, and foster a strong bond with Jews locally, in Israel, and around the world.
Our main goal is to support our membership, the synagogue as a whole, the Women's League for Conservative Judaism, and causes that are relevant to us as women.
Sisterhood offers "Camp Cash" grants to assist with Jewish camping experience or trip costs for children of Sisterhood members. The annual application date is July 31. Check out the Cash Cash page for grant program details and application.
A campaign by the Women's League for Conservative Judaism to ensure our legacy to future generations of Conservative Jews by providing funds the education of Rabbis and Cantors; Educators, and Administrators for Day Schools and Synagogue Schools; Synagogue Administrators, Social Workers, Scholars, and Professional and Lay Leaders and Researchers. To contribute, please use the Torah Fund Form.
The 5780 (2019-2020) Torah Fund pin depicts a heart surrounded by three circles, one larger than the next. This symbolizes the heart of kindness, which Jews enact in ever-widening realms of generosity: from family, to community, to the larger world; from North America, to Israel, to the world; or from sisterhood, to region, to the larger world of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism. And as it is said in Psalm 89, may we build a world of kindness.
